Again and again, members of the AWG receive pictures of sea cucumbers from all over the world. Through collaborative effort, whereby we push tens of emails (often loaded with other pictures) through ethernet cables that cross oceans, we try to get to an identification which is as reliable as possible. We are always happy when we arrive to a consensus name. An then internet silence...

On Thursday 12 March 2009, Didier and Yves joined forces at the Royal Museum of Central Africa to start with the digitization of the ossicles sampled from the from the numerous Paris types. A time-consuming process, but rewarding as the first results are already promising.

On the first day of 2009, Claude officially took his retirement. To mark that special event Claude threw together a party at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. Through a powerpoint presentation Belgian PEET members gave tribute to Claude.
